POPFile hangs when trying to open the UI

I often have the problem that I try to open the POPFile Control Center web GUI and it doesn't open. Instead it constantly cycles the waiting cursor and nothing happens.

When that occurs, the whole POPFile is hanging and I have to restart it to make it work again.

This often happens if I try to open the web GUI a short time after getting mails or too early after starting it.

This happened in all versions which I tried (from 0.19.x to 1.0.0) on several PCs with Windows XP SP2 (English and German versions).

This sounds like a trayicon issue. Try the suggestions on this page: http://getpopfile.org/docs/troubleshooting:freeze

It looks like we may finally have the trayicon problem solved in the next release.
